After taking a shower, there will always be a nasty breath on the mirror. How can I make it stop?
After taking a shower, the bathroom mirror is always covered with mist
Then I can’t see anything
I wanted to see my handsome self
But this is not possible
What should I do?
How to prevent water mist from appearing on the mirror?
As the saying goes: It’s very important to catch the thief first and catch the king first!
Why does the mirror produce fog?
I flipped through the physics book left over from high school, and seemed to have found a clue. It is said in the book that the mist of the mirror is formed by the liquefaction of water vapor in the room when it meets the lower temperature of the mirror surface. In other words, reducing the temperature difference between the surface of the mirror and the water vapor can reduce the generation of mist, or prevent the water vapor from contacting the mirror, and also prevent the generation of mist.
There are probably so many ways to prevent bathroom mirrors from fogging in the rivers and lakes:
1, apply dry soap to the mirror, and then wipe it off with a rag
2, apply wax on the mirror, and then wipe it clean with a cloth
3, wipe the mirror with a cloth moistened with 90% alcohol
4. Put two drops of shampoo on the sponge or flannel, rub the bubbles on the mirror, and then wipe it.
5. Cut the potatoes into slices, and then apply the juice to the mirror Wipe it off with a dry cloth
6. Apply the detergent (one drop is enough) on the mirror surface, and then wipe it with a dry cloth
7. On the mirror Apply a thin layer of skin cream, and then wipe it off
After testing one by one, I found that these anti-fog tips are not all good.
>>>The most useless:
The potato is absolutely cheating. Not only does it have no anti-fog effect, the starch in the potato also makes the mirror 'dirty'.
>>>Slightly useful:
Skin cream and candles, after these two things are applied, they have a certain effect, but they are not obvious, and wax and skin cream may affect The brightness of the mirror! So it is still not recommended.
The next highlight is coming!
Tests on detergents, dry soaps and shampoos that are widely spread on the Internet! So are they all easy to use? Please see the results of the actual measurement last night:
Smear dosage:
※ Dishwashing detergent u0026 shampoo:
One drop is enough! Squeeze it on a rag to cover the entire mirror. Then you can wipe it with a dry cloth or paper towel, or you can wait for it to dry on its own.
※ Soap:
The dosage is about 1.5 times the amount for hand washing. Take the dry soap and apply it directly to the mirror, and then wipe it with a dry cloth.
Please see the figure below for the specific dosage:
Test process:
Before taking a bath, the editor painted these three things on the mirror. In order to test the contrast, the above three reagents were applied in blocks on the left half of the mirror, and nothing was applied to the right half of the mirror, so that the anti-fog effect can be seen more intuitively.
Mirror before bathing▼:
After taking a bath for nearly half an hour (good), the room is full of steam, let’s take a look at what the mirror looks like, as shown below :
▲It can be seen that the left half of the mirror surface is basically not affected by water vapor, and it can still play the role of a mirror, and you can see the person in the mirror clearly.
▼The picture below is a close-up of the mirror on the left half of which is painted with three kinds of test products. We can clearly see the door handle from the mirror:
However, the one on the right is not painted. The fog is still obvious on the side mirror.
▼The picture below is the mirror on the right half without the test product. The fog is obvious, and the editor face is no longer visible:
Before going to work the next morning, in order to make the test more Perfect, the editor photographed the state of the mirror after taking a bath. After the test last night, I didn’t touch the mirror again. I still kept the state where the left half was painted with three test items, and the right half was unpainted:
▲You can see that the painted left half is still ' 'Strong
Experimental conclusion:
Dishwashing liquid, dry soap, shampoo, just apply any one of the three things on the mirror (there is no need to wash after application, no Affects looking in the mirror), you can avoid the trouble of mist when bathing!
Tips:
There is no difference in the anti-fogging effects of the above three, but detergent and shampoo are easier and faster in the application process, while dry soap is significantly better It is difficult to apply, so the editor recommends using detergent and shampoo!
In addition to DIY anti-fog, there are also anti-fog mirrors on the market. The principle is to put a layer of electronic anti-fog film on the back of the mirror (approximately RMB 30-100) and use a heated mirror. The surface method reduces the temperature difference between the mirror surface and the water vapor, so that even if the bathroom is filled with mist, the mirror will not be fogged.
This kind of electronic anti-fog film usually needs to be plugged in, so there needs to be a socket behind the mirror. The power consumption is about 150w per square meter! The specific form is shown in the figure below:
Tips for buying anti-fog mirror:
If you are a newly decorated house, you can choose to install this anti-fog mirror in your bathroom , So as to stay away from fog troubles. However, the cost will definitely be slightly more expensive than ordinary mirrors. And be sure to reserve a socket at the mirror installation place so that the heating device can work normally.
As for the small partners who have been renovated, the editor thinks that there is no need to spend money to change the mirror! First, the electronic anti-fog film needs to be purchased separately; second, it is necessary to add an additional socket in the bathroom, which is a big move. You can easily realize that the mirror has no fog by using the method of experimentation before the editor.
