If I were asked that question I would reply emphatically

I'll be honest, once I have used the bathtub to clean myself, the last thing I want to do is clean the tub, but it is now a force of habit. For less than 5 minutes of effort, the tub looks cleaner, is cleaner, I consider other people, I don't have to be worried about guests and if I decide to take a second daily bath due to gym or a particularly grubby day at work then I don't have to clean the tub first - I can jump straight in.

If you don't currently clean your bathtub after each use, then I encourage you to do so for both better hygiene and self-discipline reasons. One concern which may arise is the amount of cleaning products used and their impact on the environment. I use Cif as I find the gritty texture gets tap ware and sanitary ware sparklingly clean with relatively little elbow grease. There are many other cleaning products on the market and I can't speak for all of them, but I don't need to have experience of them all to know the one I use does exactly what I want it to.

So at the end of the day there are much better ways to clean your bathroom or shower area without using harsh chemicals that damage the environment.
