Whether it is a small-sized bathroom or a large-sized bathroom, you can have no bathtub or shower room, but it must be the existence of the basin. You see, washing your face and teeth in the morning, and washing your hands before and after meals, don’t you have to use a basin? But for a sanitary ware that is used so frequently in daily life, how much do you know about it? This beautiful and generous basin seems to be simple, but in fact its installation process is exquisite. Let’s get to know the details of the basin installation below with the editor!
The installation details of the bathroom basin:
1. The washing basin product should be smooth and free from damage. The drain plug should have an overflow hole with a diameter of not less than 8mm.
2. When the drain plug is connected to the sink, the overflow hole of the drain plug should be aligned with the overflow hole of the sink as far as possible to ensure that the overflow part is unblocked. After fitting, the upper end of the drain plug should be lower than the sink bottom.
3. The bracket fixing bolts can be galvanized anchor bolts or galvanized metal expansion bolts of not less than 6mm (if the wall is a porous brick, it is strictly forbidden to use expansion bolts).
4. After the sink and the drain pipe are connected, they should be firm and compact, and easy to disassemble, and the connection should not be open. The contact part of the sink and the wall should be caulked with silicone paste.
5. If the sink drain trap and faucet are plated products, the plating shall not be damaged during installation.
6. Depth is directly proportional to intensity. Water splashing on the body is probably a bit uncomfortable for consumers. Conventionally, the depth of the washbasin is proportional to the strength of the water flow of the faucet installed on it, that is, the deep pool can be installed with a strong water faucet.
7. Pay attention to the height. Regardless of whether it is a free-standing or a desktop washbasin, the height of the pool surface or countertop should be 80 or 85 cm above the ground, because a too short pool can cause back pain.
8. Pay attention to the finish. The edge of the washbasin must be slightly higher than the countertop, but the connection with the countertop must be smooth. The purpose is to wipe the water splashed on the countertop back into the pool without obstruction, and at the same time facilitate the cleaning of the countertop.
9. Space determines form. The washbasin is roughly divided into two types: free-standing and desktop. The independent style is beautiful in appearance, small in footprint, and easy to maintain, suitable for bathrooms with little space. However, it needs to be equipped with a mirror box or a washstand in order to use the space above the pool to place some toiletries and cosmetics.
